Andrea Spisto is a London-based theatre maker, poet, movement director, performer and producer. A graduate in Devising Theatre and Performance at LISPA in Lecoq physical theatre practices such as clown, bouffon, mime, grotesque and comedia. Andrea is inspired by bridging the arts with social awareness. She uses movement, playfulness, creativity and pens words to open discussion about some of the issues faced by our planet and people, hoping to incite progressive dialogue through the means of poetry, physical movement, clowning, and performance art. She is currently part of poetry collective Spare The Poets and theatre duo Wild Dandelions. Recently Andrea worked with Don’t Be Lonely producing Betty Grumble, Trygve Wakenshaw, Barnie Duncan and The Listies. In film and TV Andrea worked on the movement direction for Oumou Sangare’s Yere Faga under the direction of Chris Saunders and has been working on Sister, a new BBC Three commission exploring stories the lived experiences of women. Andrea is currently under the Mentorship of Tessa Waters.
